Why we're different

We're not a storefront solution.
We're a shipping service.

Ecommerce-first shipping software is often built around Shopify integrations, order syncing, and marketplace connectors. That works great if you run an online store. But if you're a B2B operation shipping from a head office or managing a team in the shipping department, you've felt the friction of using a tool that was never built for you.

You don't run a storefront.
Why use software that assumes you do?

Many platforms in B2B shipping conversations are ecommerce-first. The B2B workflow is often an afterthought — if it's there at all.

Other platforms ask you to...

  • Connect your Shopify or WooCommerce store before you can ship anything
  • Configure order automation rules and fulfillment workflows
  • Navigate a dashboard built around "orders," not individual shipments
  • Pay subscription fees tied to store count or monthly order volume
  • Get support optimized for ecommerce use cases, not B2B logistics

Covantra asks you to...

  • Enter a from address, a to address, and package details
  • See available carrier rates side-by-side, with known surcharges included where supported
  • Buy the label that makes sense for this shipment
  • Track it from purchase to delivery — our team follows the journey with you
  • Reach out anytime and we'll already know where your shipment stands
  • That's it. No storefront needed. Ever.

One service. Any B2B workflow.

Whether it's one person or a whole department, our service works the way your team works — not the other way around.

Just you at head office

Need to ship a sample to a client or get equipment to a job site? Log in, get a rate, buy the label, done. No team needed, no configuration required.

A team in the shipping department

Multiple people, different responsibilities. Some create shipments, some approve, some pull reports. Role-based access without enterprise overhead.

Whatever's in between

Seasonal spikes, hybrid teams, one office doing the work of three — our service flexes with your operation. No tiers, no seat limits to negotiate.

Built together

Feature requests aren't filed and forgotten here.

Many shipping tools have a roadmap managed by a team you'll never talk to. We're a small, tightly integrated dev and business team. When your workflow doesn't fit the software, you tell us — directly, from the dashboard — and we actually respond.

Custom CSV formats for your ERP. A carrier you need that we don't support yet. A reporting view built around how your finance team thinks. If it makes sense, we build it.

Submitted from your dashboard

From: Operations team

"We need to bulk-import shipments from our ERP. Our export format is a custom CSV with non-standard column headers. Can you add a mapping step?"

Covantra team

"Added. You can now map any column header to our fields in Batch Import settings. Live in staging — want to review before we push?"

Heads up before you buy

We spotted a couple of things worth a look

Dimensional weight

Your package measures 18 × 14 × 10 in. The carrier will bill for 12.5 lb (DIM weight), not the 8 lb you entered. Confirm dimensions to avoid a correction charge.

Delivery area surcharge

The destination postal code falls in an extended delivery zone. Where carrier data supports it, that surcharge is reflected in the rate shown before you buy.

Reviewing these now gives you a better chance of avoiding a corrective charge.

Fewer surprise invoices

We warn you before you ship, not after.

Carriers can — and do — send corrective invoices after delivery. We can't promise they'll never happen, but we review your shipment at booking and continuously monitor throughout transit — so if a DIM weight discrepancy, address reclassification, or pickup surcharge surfaces, we can flag it earlier and help you respond.

  • Dimensional weight mismatch
  • Commercial vs. residential reclassification
  • Address correction fees
  • Delivery area surcharges

Covantra Advanced Tracking

Your shipment doesn't go dark at the border.

Cross-border tracking can get harder to interpret when a package enters customs. Covantra Advanced Tracking surfaces supported clearance events, carrier handoffs, and last-mile status in a single feed when that data is available, giving international teams more visibility without jumping between carrier portals.

  • Supported customs clearance events — held, in review, and released
  • Carrier handoffs when your shipment changes hands mid-route
  • Last-mile out-for-delivery status from the final carrier
  • Supported exception alerts when a package is held or delayed at customs
